About Me
Hi, I’m Jenna, a licensed professional counselor and art therapist. As a mental health provider, I am dedicated to offering compassionate guidance and innovative therapeutic techniques to help individuals navigate challenges, unlock their potential, and foster growth toward genuine self-awareness and deeper connections with themselves and those around them.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe that feeling safe, understood, and supported in therapy is essential for meaningful change. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship where you are the expert on your own experiences, and I walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and professional guidance. I believe, a strong therapeutic connection creates the space for growth, insight, and healing.
My approach is grounded in person-centered and strength-based therapy. This means I meet you where you are, honor your lived experience, and help you reconnect with the strengths that already exist within you—even if they feel hard to access right now. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and we will work together to shape the process in a way that feels supportive and aligned with your needs.
I draw from traditional therapeutic approaches and may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when helpful. CBT can support greater awareness of how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, especially when old patterns are keeping you feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
I am also trained in Art Therapy, which can offer a gentle and creative way to explore emotions, calm the nervous system, and express what may be difficult to put into words. You don’t need to be artistic—just open to the possibility that creativity can be another pathway to understanding and healing.
At the heart of my work is compassion. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to have it all together, explain yourself perfectly, or take care of anyone else. You get to show up just as you are.
Are we a good fit?
I enjoy working with adults who feel worn down by people-pleasing and are ready to begin turning inward with care and intention. Many of the individuals I work with have spent years prioritizing others’ needs and are now feeling disconnected from themselves, unsure of their boundaries, or questioning their sense of confidence and identity.
We may be a good fit if you resonate with any of the following:
Feeling stuck or unsure of how to move forward
People-pleasing patterns that impact your relationships or self-worth
Difficulty setting or maintaining boundaries
Anxiety or ongoing stress
Low self-awareness or self-confidence
Unhealthy patterns that feel hard to break
Past experiences or burdened parts of yourself that are showing up in the present
Healing from an unsupportive or emotionally invalidating upbringing
If this sounds like you, we may work well together. Therapy can be a supportive space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and build a more grounded, authentic way of living. I would be happy to connect and see if we feel like a good fit for your healing journey.
